The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District, along with several other agencies, is sponsoring a field day focusing on the benefits of mycorrhizal fungi for improving soil health. This free event features several subject experts, including a biologist, agronomist, farmer and research professor.
The soil health field day is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Carter Farms, 120 Merrylane Road, Eastover. Although there is no charge for the event, registration is required by Sept. 26. Lunch will be provided. For more information and to register, click
