Our office has twenty-seven full-time and four part-time employees who serve more than 360,000 people in Richland County. Annually, our office collects more than 460,000 tax payments and more than $530 million. The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the collection of taxes, maintaining county bank accounts, investment of funds and certain disbursements. Our office does not create or adjust bills (Auditor’s Office) or calculate a property’s taxable value (Assessor’s Office). The Treasurer’s Office is the one county office that just about everyone must deal with each year and we will always do our best to earn and maintain your trust by efficient, helpful service.
