Billy Jonas, who sings and plays instruments made from recycled objects, will perform at two
Richland County Public Library Summer Reading Club Celebrations on Thursday, June 14.
Jonas will take the stage at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for two rocking performances, which are
hosted by the Sandhills Branch of RCPL but held at North Springs Elementary School on Clemson Road to accommodate a large audience.
Although the performances are free and open to children of all ages, tickets are required for admission and can be reserved by calling the Sandhills Branch at 699-9230.
Performing nationally since 1987, Jonas uses the audience as his primary instrument, tuning them briefly before sharing the depth of his musical repertoire with
singalongs, bangalongs and whisperalongs. Using instruments made from found objects and performing original compositions, Jonas appeals to the “creative energy in
everyone.”
2007 marks Jonas’ seventh performance at RCPL, drawing maximum capacity crowds and developing enthusiastic fans of all ages. For more information, please visit
