The Business Development Coordinator identifies, develops, and secures new opportunities, maintain client relationships, create and expand partnerships, and coordinate workshops and activities in efforts to assist the SLBE.

Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Program
Purpose
The Small Local Business Enterprise Program (hereinafter referred to as “SLBE”) is a race and gender-neutral procurement tool for Richland County’s use in its efforts to ensure that all segments of its local business community have a reasonable and significant opportunity to participate in County contracts for construction, architectural and engineering services, professional services, non-professional services, and commodities.
The Small Local Business Enterprise Program also furthers the County’s public interest to foster effective broad-based competition from all segments of the vendor.
There is no application fee for SLBE certification. All applications for certification must be accompanied by a sworn affidavit attesting to the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided. Richland County shall provide eligibility determinations for new candidates within 30 days of receipt of a complete application.
Workshops & Events
OSBO’s SLBE Program host Workshops and Events to assist Small Businesses as they grow and Expose them to newfound opportunities. Workshops topics can range from "How to create a Business Plan" to "How to Bid on a Contract".
