Residential and Commercial
Residents living in Richland County may drop off acceptable items for disposal at either the Richland County C&D Landfill or the Lower Richland Drop-Off Center free of charge when the items originate from your primary residence, and do not exceed residential limits on size/quantity. The limit for residential drop off disposal is four (4) visits per month. The items must meet acceptable guidelines. Proof of primary residency is required.
The Lower Richland Drop-Off Center located at 10531 Garners Ferry Rd is restricted to trailers no greater that eight (8) feet in length due to limited operating space. Residents with trailers longer than eight (8) feet will be instructed to visit the 1070 Caughman Road North Drop-Off Center located at the Richland County C&D Landfill, which can accommodate residents with trailers of greater size.
Residents that are dropping off items related to a second home, rental property or business must go by Commercial guidelines.
Commercial customers may drop off acceptable items for disposal at the Richland County C&D Landfill provided:
An account has been established with the Richland County Landfill or you pay by credit or debit card. An annual application is filled out and a user fee must be paid for account customers. Customers will be charged a tipping fee per ton for each load disposed of. Proof of a current Richland County Business License must be supplied. Please call 803-576-2390 for current rates on annual fees and tipping fees.
NO Commercial Waste will be accepted at the Lower Richland Drop-Off Center or Clemson Road Recycling Site.
